Trail starts at Henley railway station at 10.30am and encompasses the international regatta course. This will be followed by a picnic (included), after which there is the opportunity to watch the event. Please ask those planning to come and wanting to partake of the riverside picnic/Pimms/beer to let Lonely (copied) know for catering purposes, and bring £12.50. I won’t be at LH3, but you might just catch me at CH3 tomorrow. Note that if you’re catching the fast (1004) train from Paddington, you need to change (same platform) at Maidenhead as well as Twyford this year, but it gives you 22 mins longer in bed (something which I’m sure Tango will appreciate). If you’re coming from or via Ealing Broadway, or intermediate stns in W London, you’ll need to catch the train leaving Padd at 0942 (Ealing B 0950, etc), but then change only at Twyford. Given the state of train planning and possession planning at Network Rail these days, it wouldn’t entirely surprise me if the timings alter between now and then, possibly for the better. If I notice anything I’ll let you know, but the above is correct as of now. Looks as though Groupsave tickets are available this year (they’re not saying otherwise), but remember if you do this the group must travel together in both directions. And yes, the famous Pimms stop at Caboose’s house between trains at Twyford on the way home will be available!
