Follow the P trail from Chessington North station (zone 6) for about 800 metres to the William Bourne. SCBs can take bus 71 from outside the station for two stops to Melford Close and join the P trail there. It is possible to get bus 71 from Surbiton station.
Two trains per hour from Waterloo, best is probably the 11.47 arriving at Chessington North at 12.18 (or the one half an hour earlier if you fancy a pre-hash beer.) Circle up at 12.45 or so.
This trail is 90% off-road with the chance to see alpacas, nilgai antelope, and maybe a camel or two if you are lucky.
